Irish Animal Lover

Bonjour! Je m’appelle Iris. I have just moved from Dublin to Paris so I am still working on my French. I have just qualified as a primary school teacher, but I am currently working at Disneyland. I have an energetic Jack Russel dog & beautiful black cat at home in Ireland who I am missing terribly! I have volunteered at my local rescue centre by fundraising for them and helping out in the shelter. As I miss my pets a lot, I would absolutely love to help out with dog walking. Of course I would care for anyone else’s dog as if they were my own. I have dog-sit for my family, friends and neighbours in my local area. This ranges from puppies to older dogs. My duties were dog walking, serving food, playing & spending time with them and administering oral medication. I am comfortable with a variety of different dog breeds. As a primary school teacher, I am comfortable using my initiative and reacting to unexpected situations. Of course this can be inevitable when working with animals. I experienced this a lot in my local dog shelter (Dublin Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Particularly with dogs that had anxiety or a trauma background. Staying calm, patient and following their regular routines always seemed to help. I walked the dogs in this shelter while they were waiting for their forever homes. I have also walked dogs in my area for neighbours that had a busy lifestyle or that were away for work/ holiday. Studio apartment
